Attorney Panettiere is part of a movement whose goal is to increase empathy for people with post-traumatic stress. She works with mental health professionals to develop an effective strategy for helping public safety employees understand their PTSD and its impact on their careers.
Attorney Panettiere's approach enables her to successfully represent individuals at each stage of the injured on duty and accidental disability retirement process.
From the 111F grievance to the initial retirement application, to successful appeals at DALA, CRAB and the courts, Panettiere Law is proud of being part of the healing process.
Attorney Panettiere serves as an advocate for police officers at every phase of their careers, and believes that the first step in effective representation of police officers is a sincere appreciation for their commitment and sacrifice.
Attorney Panettiere is a graduate of Boston College and Boston College Law School. She is former co-Chair of the Boston Bar Association’s Labor & Employment Section, and has conducted many trainings, including teaching labor lawyers and police union officials to represent their members in grievance proceedings, discipline matters, bargaining and post-traumatic stress injury cases.
With over twenty years representing police officers and their unions, Attorney Panettiere has been counsel to the Massachusetts Coalition of Police, the Boston Police Patrolmen’s Association, and numerous independent police, fire and teachers unions, representing their members in contract negotiations, joint labor management committee proceedings, unfair labor practices, arbitrations, internal affairs investigations, discipline cases, civil service appeals and, with increasing frequency over the past ten years, accidental disability cases.
